Radio ASEAN
Radio ASEAN is the official live radio station of the ASEAN Motor Club, an integral part of the community designed to enhance the player experience in Motor Town. It serves as a central hub for in-game information, entertainment, and community interaction.

Features
Radio ASEAN is currently in Beta v0.9 and offers a variety of features:
- Song requests: Players can request songs to be played on the radio using the `/song_request [song name or youtube link]` command. This command works both in Discord and in-game. Requested songs are limited to a maximum length of 7 minutes.
- News and Talkshow segments: Stay updated with what's happening in Motor Town.
- Game guides: Listen to tips and guides on various aspects of the game, such as vehicle tuning, effective money-making strategies, setting up companies, and managing AI routes.
- Tips for beginners: Plenty of advice tailored for new players.
- Tips for advanced players: Includes detailed tuning and racing guides.
- Events: The radio often switches into “event mode” during official server events, with live announcements and commentary.
The main host of Radio ASEAN is DJ Annie, known for her funny and witty commentary.
How to Tune In
There are two primary ways to listen to Radio ASEAN:
- In-Game Mod: Use the dedicated mod to add Radio ASEAN directly into your game.
- Web Browser: Visit aseanmotorclub.com/radio to listen via your web browser.
Mod Installation Guide
To install the Radio ASEAN mod:
- Obtain the `RadioMod_P.pak` file from the website.
- Locate your Motor Town game installation directory.
- Open Steam > Library.
- Right-click on Motor Town > Manage > Browse Local Files.
- Navigate to `MotorTown > Content > Paks`.
- Place the `RadioMod_P.pak` file into this directory, alongside `MotorTown-Windows.pak`.
- Restart the game for the changes to take effect.
Additional Information
- The server aims to be vanilla-first, meaning installing mods is always optional, but required if you wish to use the in-game radio functionality.
- The radio plays a crucial role in delivering regular server news and updates. Every morning, the bot posts a newspaper on Discord, and the radio reads this news, updating it regularly.
- During official server events, particularly race events, the Radio often switches into event mode, with the admin becoming a speaker on the stage channel to broadcast live.
- Buffering issues can sometimes occur due to internet connection stability. For assistance with such issues, it's recommended to consult the Discord channel for community support.
