Yuuka Tree Incident of 2025
The highly anticipated ASEAN Motor Club (AMC) Championship Season 1 Finale, the Oji Desert Rally, commenced with an unexpected incident involving one of its most seasoned competitors. On June 25, 2025, during the crucial final race, Yuuka, a prominent driver for team TRUST, experienced a significant setback just three minutes into the rally.
The incident, captured on camera, unfolded off the main road between the Biyang and Nobong checkpoints. In a bold, if not entirely successful, attempt to shave off precious seconds, Yuuka steered their Enfo GT off-road for a shortcut. The maneuver sent the vehicle flying over a hill, where driver and car made a rather personal acquaintance with the only tree in the vicinity. This creative detour ultimately saved them no time whatsoever. Despite the dramatic impact, Yuuka demonstrated remarkable resilience and continued the race.
Though the collision undoubtedly affected their performance, Yuuka managed to complete the demanding rally, crossing the finish line in fourth position with a time of 12:57.665. This valiant effort secured five vital points for team TRUST, proving instrumental in the overall championship standings. The incident serves as a stark reminder of the unpredictable nature of rally racing, even for the most experienced drivers.
